THE PASSION OF CSÍKSOMLYÓ
The Passion of Csíksomlyó has its roots in the Christian myths of origin, and raises the issue of a common European identity based on our shared religion. It proposes an entirely new theatrical language where the 18th century interpretation of the biblical story and its contemporary reimagination by Géza Szőcs integrate seamlessly into the religious folk songs, presented by András Berecz, and the choreography of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble.
