The Government Inspector
A small town, a mayor, many small and greater officials and a lot of fraud. In The Government Inspector, Gogol's comedy of errors, people in a small town mistake a passing visitor for a government inspector, and that causes quite a stir. This classic comedy is staged by Georgian director Avtandil Varsimashvili, based on whose high-spirited direction of Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle, the audience can expect to see a passionate performance.
