A Magical Tale at the National Theatre: Kafka on the Shore

The original novel was written by Haruki Murakami, living legend and mystery. His books and stories have been bestsellers in Japan and internationally, translated into 50 languages and selling several million copies worldwide.

From the world-famous Japanese writer’s World Fantasy Prize-winning novel, Frank Galati has create this astounding stage adaptation. Its performance at the Vörösmarty Theatre in Székesfehérvár, directed by János Szikora, marks the work’s European debut. 

On 5 April, the production will arrive at the National Theatre for one occasion only, complete with English-language titles. We heartily welcome all those who wish to embark on a unique spiritual journey.
