Second-rate goddesses

„Second-rate goddesses" by Alexandra Felseghi, concept and direction by Andrei Măjeri, is a performance that brings on the same stage actresses from three different cities and three different theatres, highly-praised in the geographical regions where they are performing, but less known outside them: Elena Ivanca (actress of the "Lucian Blaga" National Theatre Cluj-Napoca), Ioana Dragoș Gajdó (actress of the "Regina Maria" Theatre Oradea), Silvia Luca (actress of the "Mihai Eminescu" Theatre Botoșani).

„second-rate goddesses" questions a topic of contemporary interest: the boundary between public and private, between the magic of the stage and the reality of personal life. The show starts from an autobiographical documentation, focusing mainly on the turning points in the actresses' careers, which have caused significant turns. An endeavor that brings into question how artists are often changed like pieces. The harsh mechanism of the arts crushes sensitive personalities who have reached a high level of performance in another era, stuns those caught between ages and does not give much hope to those at the beginning of their careers. But the vocation does not perish, it seeks new harbors to dock and co-creators to spark small personal revolutions and stimulate dialog.

After the premiere in September 2023, in Bucharest, the show is performed in all the co-producing theaters: creart/TEATRELLI (the initiator of the project and the main producer), the "Lucian Blaga" National Theatre Cluj-Napoca, the "Regina Maria" Theatre Oradea and the "Mihai Eminescu" Theatre Botoșani.

Main producer: creart / Teatrelli
Co-producers: Lucian Blaga National Theatre of Cluj-Napoca, Mária of Oradea Queen Theatre, Mihai Eminescu Theatre of Botoșani.

The performance was organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Budapest on the occasion of Romanian Culture Day.
