Based on Kirill Fokin's short story Fire
The literary basis of Valery Fokin's play is the story of his son Kirill Fokin, "Fire," which combines the genre of alternative history with acute psychologism in developing the character of the protagonist - a man whose personal drama unfolds against the background of the approaching world tragedy. Psychologist Vladimir Ognev, the son of immigrants, was born in Leningrad and lived in Canada. Lost his son and dramatically parted with his wife, and now works in Japan, in a secret agency engaged in extra-terrestrial contacts, the aliens have brought much to the planet, and now consider it necessary to destroy all weapons on the planet in order to save human civilization. The world leaders - Putin, Obama, Merkel and Ban Ki-moon arrive in St. Petersburg for the "first level contact" with representatives of the space intelligence. The four leaders do not support the idea of disarmament.
Can humanity avoid the tragedy of its own civilization without resorting to space intelligence? How can man survive all the pain of his destiny, all the pain of the world? Today. 2016 -... is a play close to a requiem. From the story, the incessant lamentation of the Tokyo rain.
