A patriot for me

A Patriot for Me
It is 1890. The once prosperous Austrian society is decaying, and Andrew Redl, a Jewish homosexual and member of Austro-Hungarian intelligence, is forced into treasonous acts that lead directly to the outbreak of World War I.
This true story, dramatized by John Osborne in 1965, is the compelling portrait of a man whose religion and sexuality were used by Russian intelligence as fodder for blackmail. Osborne's examination depicts the moral and spiritual breakdown of Redl, a man tortured by societal pressures that crush and maim.
