Ilonka Tóth 14 testimony in two parts
Communist leader János Kádár needed Ilonka Tóth for the same reason that the stonemasons of our ballads needed the wife of their fellow worker, Kelemen: "Let's grab her gently, throw her in the flame,/Let's blend her gentle ashes into the lime…" However, they were supposedly trying to build the mighty walls of the Deva Castle, while Kádár was doing nothing more than holding the shaky circus tent of International Socialism together. Also, there is a huge difference between the two in that the tormentors of Ilonka Tóth are still unrepentant… (written by Andor Szilágyi, loosely based on the ideas of Ernő Verebes)
