TARSIUS
Ferran Carvajal is a Barcelona-based stage director, dramaturg, choreographer and actor working in physical theatre and contemporary creation.
He creates a distinctive theatrical language where movement shapes the dramatic structure. His work explores presence as a shared political space.
He has worked in major public theatres in Barcelona and Madrid, including Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Teatre Lliure, Teatro Español and Centro Dramático Nacional, as well as in opera at Gran Teatre del Liceu and Teatro Real. He has collaborated regularly with director Carme Portaceli as movement director and choreographer.
His work has been presented throughout Spain and internationally in London (Barbican), Montpellier, Lisbon, Bogotá and Minneapolis.
He is currently developing RESISTÈNCIES, a long-term project on power and collective dynamics. His latest production, TARSIUS, co-produced by Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and Teatres en Xarxa, is now expanding internationally.
